22 QUICK DRAW BRUSHES
Do you have trouble sketching rough drafts digitally? I did while working with tattoo clients. After 15+ years in Procreate, I created the essential brushes I use to sketch fast and to quickly render designs.
BLOB PENCIL — Fast sketching. Pressure-sensitive for thick-to-thin lines. Rough texture keeps you focused on basic shapes. I use it to draw and erase.
BLOB PENCIL SMOOTH — Steadier, pressure-sensitive outline brush with a bleeding-ink look. Great for textured outlines; I use it for inking and erasing to maintain the texture.
SHADE PENCIL — Light touch makes soft shapes; heavy pressure blocks in deep shadows. Works for sketching and erasing, like charcoal.
CRISPY ERASER — Pressure-sensitive brush for quickly switching between erasing large areas and fine details.
2 OUTLINE - Inking pens that are pressure sensitive for line weight control. These outline brushes are my go-to for creating tattoo-ready stencils.
2 MONOLINE — Smooth, consistent lines. Ideal for cartoons and American traditional illustrations.
4 AIRBRUSH — I keep airbrushes handy for quick fills and blends. Two have grittier, more natural textures for organic color fills.
2 DOTS — I use dot brushes to mark even spacing, like when drawing snake scales. They’re also handy for indicating stencil details I don’t want to outline but still want to transfer.
DOTS SCATTERED — This brush quickly and easily shades American Traditional tattoo designs.
3 DOUBLE LINE - These pressure-sensitive brushes are good for drawing stems and leaves.
4 PARALLEL LINE - These brushes make perfectly consistent parallel lines.
