Preparing for Your Tattoo

The big day is here. It’s time to get ready.

Physically Prepare

We need you and your skin in tip top shape.

  • Be well rested

  • Be freshly showered

  • Shave the area you are getting tattooed

  • Lightly moisturize the area you are getting tattooed

  • Be hydrated and have eaten a solid meal

  • How to dress

    • In a way that we can access where you are getting tattooed (you can bring a change of clothes if you need)

    • In black or clothing you don’t care about is ideal because sometimes tattoo ink and blood can get on clothing during the process

    • Comfortably

Things to Bring

Consider having these items along.

  • Mask (required)

  • Water (highly recommended)

  • Snack

  • Headphones

  • Blanket

  • Comfort items (such as a stress ball or stuffed animal)

Things to Avoid

We would prefer if you didn’t.

  • Drinking alcohol the night before or directly before your appointment

    • Alcohol can greatly affect the healing process of a tattoo

  • The consumption of any drug or medication before an appointment without discussing it with your artist

  • Bringing a large group of people 

    • One or two people for moral support is ok but please no more than that

  • Bringing children with

  • Showing up excessively early or late

    • We don’t open the doors until 10am

    • Let us know if you are running late (it’s not a big deal)
